This week’s learning

The children thoroughly enjoyed listening to the story of ‘The Three Little Pigs’ and using their voices to be the ‘Big Bad Wolf’.  They investigated how to make the colour pink using paint and painted pigs for ‘Mummy Pig’ as she was missing them.  Throughout the week, they looked at the ‘grass’ they grew for the goats and discussed the change from seed to plant. Towards the end of the week, they researched facts about pigs and wolves. They found out:   a female pig is called a sow; a male pig is a boar; a baby pig is a piglet; wolves eat meat and are like dogs. In sound groups, they followed simple rhythms using percussion instruments.
