Family Photographs

We will be talking about our families next week. We would really appreciate it if you could provide a family photo for your child to share (and then keep in their learning journey).  Thank you.

Library– every Tuesday

Thank you to everyone who wrote a comment or encouraged your child to draw a picture. Your child has a new book this week. However, as the book is chosen by your child, they may have chosen the same book (or one they already have at home) for a couple of weeks.

Harvest Festival

We would like to thank you all for your Harvest donations this year. Each year we donate to Sutton Foodbank and they were very grateful for your generosity.

Library Books:

This week our parent helper, Mrs Taylor started library. Your child will have a book and a yellow reading record book in their bag.  This will be changed every Tuesday.

The book will be chosen by the child. They often chose books they are familiar with and might want to choose the same book for a couple of weeks.

Please can you read the book to your child and talk about it. Please encourage them to draw a picture in their yellow reading record and/or you can write a comment for example, what was their favourite part, or did they enjoy it.

Please ask us if you have any questions.

Family Photographs

We will be talking about our families the week beginning October 7th. We would really appreciate it if you could provide a family photo for your child to share (and then keep in their learning journey).

Important Date:

Monday 19th September/ School Photos : We will take the children in small groups to have their photo taken over the two days.

Uniform

Please make sure all items are clearly labelled with your child’s name, including water bottles and book bags.

Aldi’s Kit For Schools

We are delighted to be collecting stickers for Aldi’s Kit for Schools.

Aldi are kindly giving schools the opportunity to receive £20,000 for equipment which would have an enormous benefit to our children.

Can we make it to 300 stickers? Not without your help! For every £30 you spend in store, you can collect 1 sticker.

Please bring all stickers to Mr Baldock or Mrs Marsh (6B or 6M).

Messages for Parents

Well done to all our new starters this week. We have introduced the children to some of our routines as well as trying out lots of toys and games.  The children  have listened carefully, helped each other and had lots of fun too!  We look forward to the rest of the children starting and getting to know them.

Please find attached our ‘Welcome Letter’ which gives you information about what we do in Nursery and important dates.

Have a lovely weekend.

Welcome to the Nursery Blog.

First Day of Term – Tuesday 3rd September

We are looking forward to meeting you all on Tuesday 3rd September for your ‘Stay and Play’ session. This is an opportunity for your child to meet the Nursery team and play in the Nursery. We will use this time to have an informal chat about your child and answer any questions you may have. Please arrive at the school office (via Avenue Road entrance) at your given time and we will meet you there.

From Wednesday 5th September

From this date, we will begin a staggered intake. Please refer to your Welcome Pack for your start date. Children should come to Nursery in a fully named school uniform (details of which can be found on the school website).
